Heaton Mersey win by 5 wickets.

The first day of sun in the cricket season saw the 1's head over to Warrington to look to continue their unbeaten start to the season. They won the toss and put Warrington in to bat on a slow looking May track.

Marshall started the game identical to last week with 2 wickets in the first over to put Mersey on top early doors. Resistance came from Warrington's opener Charlie Jones (25) and their South African Thaakier Davids (49) but when Neil Mountjoy dismissed the latter, Warrington's wheels had come off and Mersey brought the innings to a close with the hosts scoring a below par 120. Marshall, Mountjoy and Hughes the picks of the bowlers with 3 wickets a piece.

The Mersey reply began modestly with 4 wickets falling in the opening spells of bowling bringing John Moon and Jordan Grose to the crease together with the score 29-4. The pair batted the situation flawlessly and moved momentum back with Mersey. Jordan Grose being the aggressor of the two batsmen, finishing on 57 after being bowled needing 1 to win. John Moon finishing the job on 33*, steering Mersey home and to the top of the table after 4 games.

Next week the 1s travel to 3rd placed Ashley looking to continue the great start to the season.
