Monday 8th May: Romiley U15 vs Heaton Mersey U15 cancelled – High Peak league (Scorecard)

This game was unfortunately cancelled.

Wednesday 10th May: Bredbury St Marks U15 vs Heaton Mersey U15 cancelled – High Peak league (Scorecard)

Alas, this game was also cancelled.

Sunday 14th May: Bramhall U15 88/7 (20) lost to Heaton Mersey 90/4 (13.4) by 6 wickets – Cheshire league (Scorecard)

It was a great performance from the Under 15s in the sunshine at Bramhall on Sunday morning.   After a strong start from Bramhall, our exceptionally tight bowling restricted them to 88/7.  Wickets for Danny, Abubakhar, Luke, Shayan and Flynn.

Then, after seeing off Bramhall's best bowlers, we knocked off the runs in the 13th over. Abdul (36 not out), Danny (17) and Hunain (13 not out) batted superbly.  Great attitude and teamwork from every single one of them.  Thanks to Emma for scoring.

Wednesday 17th May – Stockport Trinity U15 96/3 (20) lost to Heaton Mersey U15 98/2 (16) by 8 wickets – High Peak league (Scorecard)

It was a great performance from Heaton Mersey away at Stockport Trinity tonight.  A good performance in the field restricted Trinity to 96, with some good tight bowling all round.

Then, an entertaining innings from Hunain (35 not out) with some big 6s and q great knock from Shiyeon (35 not out) left the remaining batters to knock off the runs with 4 overs to go.

Sunday 21st May – Hyde 156/3 (20) beat Heaton Mersey 79/8 (20) by 77 runs – Cheshire league (Scorecard)

We lost out to a very strong 9-player team at Hyde and were beaten by the better team (which included two of our players helping them out in the field).  Our bowling and especially fielding wasn't as sharp as it can be, and 3 of their top 4 scored fast and retired quickly - leaving them with a whopping 156 off their overs.  Abubakar was the pick of our bowlers.  Special mention also to Luke for outstanding stops on the boundary too.

The pressure was on for us to make a quick start but we never really got going.  Our top order had to go hard from the off which unfortunately against some strong bowlers resulted in us losing wickets quickly.  A late cameo with the bat from Flynn put some gloss on an otherwise bad day at the office.  Top scorer was Eddie Extras.

Sunday 21st May – Downham U14 vs Heaton Mersey U14 conceded – U14 John North Cup (Scorecard)

The U14s conceded the game in round 2 of the John North Cup.
